Profile and Brief History: John Greenfield Managing Director

Rope Access/Rope Rescue Supervisor, IRIA, ERCA, IRATA.

John has been around the Remote/Offshore Medical, Occupational Health & Safety, the work & rescue @ height arena for some time. Since starting work in the construction industry as a Steeplejack, volunteering as a first aider in the early eighties to in 1990 forming the High Access Rescue Team Glasgow, the first of its kind in Scotland. John Resigned as Director in 2008.

Progressing through training in Industrial Rope Access and developing techniques for rescue at height & confined spaces , as well as rising through the ranks within the Parachute Regiment 15sv Battalion as a PT Instructor/Top rope & abseil supervisor , he has gained valuable knowledge and considerable experience in all his chosen fields.

John is a Rescue/Safety boat coxswain (RYA), Floods & Swift Water Rescue Instructor (IFRA), Rope Access Supervisor (IRATA), Rope Rescue Supervisor (IRIA) and registered competent person for the inspection and certification of personnel protective equipment for work & rescue.

John draws considerable experience from his time with HM Special Forces as a Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol Medic reservist, and also from within the Construction, Oil & Gas Production industries and as a paramedic for the NHS

John still works as a Remote Medic/Occupational Health & Safety Adviser on North Sea oil rigs and platforms, on Dive Support Vessels, as well as other challenging, difficult, remote and often hostile areas around the world.
